Hello, new friend. My name is May and I came up with the idea for Vommat a few years ago in the middle of the night as I was changing the sheets for the second time on my daughter's bed. "Why can't I just cover this all up?" I wondered. Well, soon, we can. It has been a long and winding road since that night but early last year, after staring longingly into the bathroom closet as vomiting incidents occurred in my home over the years, I decided it was time to do something about it. We've now got a product - in design at least - and while I've been going in circles trying to source just the right material (sustainable, biodegradable, soft and absorbant!), I attended the Mom 2.0 Summit in Los Angeles.
Mom 2.0 Summit is a conference of mom bloggers, podcasters, influencers, brands, and media - and when I saw that they were getting together, I knew I had to go. I'm so glad I did! Talking to these inspiring and influential ladies.. and hearing their feedback that they NEED my product was incredible. But they also kept asking: when is it available? And I didn't know - I've been in a materials holding pattern. So now that I'm home and back to work - it's go time. I've given the product design team the go-ahead to create a "tech pack" of our design - they'll create the technical drawings and materials specifications to send out.
Thanks to Mom 2.0 and the Summit attendees who got me ready to ramp things up once I returned home and I hope we'll have a great product ready for you before too long! Stay tuned.
