Wowwwww this was a long road huh? But I'm happy to share that Vommat is finally back in stock.
There was the wait for financing. Then a wait for manufacturing. Then a wait for the inventory to get picked up. And then a wait because it didn't make the boat. And then the wait while it crossed the sea. And then a little wait to unload and clear customs. And then a wait to get delivered to me. And then once they were here a little wait while the power went out due to wind - classic. Thankfully that was only about half an hour.
I was hoping they'd arrive on Tuesday, 12/31 but when they called and told me it would be Thursday, do you know what I did? I cried. Just a little. Because I was tired of waiting.
But it was probably for the best because when Thursday rolled around, two kids were back at school and I was able to focus on breaking down the pallet and repackaging for my preorders. As soon as I got the call, it was all hands on deck but really that meant me and a 5 year old. She was really eager to help and even used her scooter to move some boxes around. I hadn't initially planned on doing everything immediately but once I got going I didn't want to stop until all the preorders had been fulfilled.
At around 4:15pm I had all the kids in the garage with me and we checked and saw the last UPS pickup was at 5pm and we went into hyperdrive - even racing a UPS truck down the highway.
But we got it done!! Some of the orders have already been delivered, less than 24 hours later. Bravo, UPS! I have a few more local deliveries in my car that I'm going to drop off as soon as I publish this post and then the backlog is cleared and we start the new year with a garage full of Vommats once again.
